The nearest airport is Geneva, which is a 1h15m transfer away from Le Chinaillon. Geneva is an exceptionally well-connected airport, and flights are available to/from many cities in the UK.
Those arriving by air from the UK, we would suggest that you book our recommended flights (see right), or flights from other destinations that coincide with the arrival times. This means that we can arrange a shared transfer and keep your costs down.
Airport transfers, when travelling in a group, are usually around 35EUR to 40EUR each way, though this is dependant of the number of people in each transfer and may vary. A single-person transfer can be around 140EUR each way, so this is to be avoided.
The nearest train station is in Annecy, and we can assist with a transfer to Le Chinaillon if required. Eurostar services run from London to Paris Gare du Nord, with an onward direct connection to Annecy.
There is also a coach service run by Altibus, that will take you from Annecy to the nearest large town, Le Grand-Bornand. Please get in touch with us for more information.
If you plan to arrive by car, let us know and we will send you detailed directions to the course chalet. There is some parking available outside the chalet, but please let us know in advance if you need this. If you are hiring a car, Geneva airport is unique in that it sits over the border of Switzerland and France, always check prices from both the Swiss and French sides of the airport, as they can vary dramatically.
When flights are available to book, these will be published here.
Flutes du Soleil's home in France is Chalet Maigret-Clouseau - a traditional wood-built mountain chalet perched on the sweeping hills of the French Alps. The spacious and well-equipped chalet has a variety of room types, spread over three floors, plus space for relaxing/dining, and space for our classes.
Space for classes, with plenty left over for dining and relaxing.
